In the wake of the release of a succession of singles and her South Of Heaven mixtape, Cosima’s latest instalment comes today in the form of a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’, a ballad of loss and plaintive reminiscence.
In recent years Peckham has been responsible for producing some of the most exciting new artists such as Archy Marshall (aka King Krule), Chaos In The CBD, and Jamie Isaac. However, Cosima is flying the female flag in London’s creative hotbed, offering powerful and emotive tracks with her intelligent lyricism and alluring sense of rhythm, which is characterised by ethereal production that hints towards R&B inspiration whilst going in an admirably individual direction.
If you want to catch Cosima live she will playing Norway’s Øya Festival in August, but for now listen to ‘Dreams’, watch the visuals for ‘To Build A House’ below and be sure to follow Cosima on Soundcloud for future releases.
‘I want my music to make people feel. Full stop.’
