London newcomer Tom Tripp, armed with warped synths and distorted guitar riffs, has made his way onto our radar. Swapping bedroom production for the real deal, this 21-year-old is not one to sleep on.
Having only released two demos, and regardless of comparisons to artists such as Jai Paul and Ben Khan, Tom’s production is setting himself apart from the crowd. Releasing his debut track proper, ‘Aurelia’, on NAO’s Little Tokyo Recordings, Tom’s somewhat empty, yet layered production is complemented by the addition of silky vocals. Culminating in a product of sleepy summer vibes which champions a set of contagious electronic claps, ‘Aurelia’ only hints at what’s next to come.
If you’re keen to see what Tom has to offer in the future, follow him on Soundcloud. ‘Aurelia’ can be found on our Spring transition playlist alongside the likes of Vasser and Jadu Heart, or listen below.
